Poudrerie de Luxembourg inaugurates a large-scale EV charging infrastructure at ParcLuxite with electris

On September 3, 2026, Poudrerie de Luxembourg S.A. and electris Luxembourg S.A. inaugurated a new electric vehicle charging infrastructure at ParcLuxite, highlighting the shared commitment of both partners to accelerating the development of e-mobility in Luxembourg.

The inauguration took place in the presence of Lex Delles, Luxembourg's Minister of the Economy, SMEs, Energy and Tourism, representatives of the Municipal Executive Board of the Municipality of Roeser, as well as representatives of both companies, the Encevo Group and Teseos.

A sustainable vision serving tenants

ParcLuxite's objective was to provide a high-performance charging solution through an infrastructure connected to its rooftop solar installation and designed to support the evolving needs of the automotive market.

“Our project reflects our commitment to reducing our environmental impact, supporting the growth of electric mobility, and preparing both our company and our tenants for the energy challenges of tomorrow” explains Raymond Ackermann, Managing Director of Poudrerie de Luxembourg.

A technical challenge successfully delivered by electris

As a subsidiary of Teseos Luxembourg, the holding company responsible for the technical services businesses within the Encevo Group, Luxembourg's leading energy provider, electris Luxembourg was responsible for the design, deployment, commissioning and operation of the entire project.

The technical teams had to overcome several major challenges, particularly in terms of electrical supply, power distribution and the integration of equipment within an existing parking facility.

A few figures illustrate the scale of the project:

  • 94 charging points installed;
  • More than 580 hours of work carried out on site;
  • 15,000 metres of cabling deployed;
  • Installation of a 630 kVA transformer;
  • Design and implementation of a custom-built main low-voltage switchboard (MLVS);
  • Infrastructure pre-equipped to accommodate up to 200 charging stations in the future.

Smart charging management through e_mobility

One of the specific features of the project is that the charging stations are intended to be used by employees of the tenant companies. To meet this requirement, all 94 charging points were integrated into electris' e_mobility platform.

Among other features, the solution enables:

  • Access through electris roaming partners;
  • Simplified charging tariff management;
  • Monitoring of charging sessions;
  • Infrastructure supervision and management;
  • Compliance with public charging regulations, including AFIR requirements;
  • Simplified billing of energy consumption to users;
  • Automatic remuneration of ParcLuxite, managed by electris, for all charging sessions carried out on its infrastructure.

For Poudrerie de Luxembourg, electris acts as the sole point of contact, handling contract management, customer relations, payments, call centre services and all operational tasks related to the charging infrastructure under a delegated service agreement. 

According to Vincent Lekens, CEO of electris: "To date, we are the only Luxembourg-based player developing, maintaining and operating our own e-mobility platform. This represents a major challenge, but also a significant strength in a constantly evolving market. Our e_mobility platform is unique, and we continuously integrate new technologies while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements such as AFIR (Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation) in a market that still needs to mature, regulate and consolidate."

An exemplary collaboration

Throughout the project, the close cooperation between the teams of Poudrerie de Luxembourg and electris Luxembourg contributed significantly to the successful completion of this ambitious undertaking. "We particularly appreciated our relationship with electris, the overall project management, technical follow-up, implementation and the solutions proposed. The project was carried out perfectly," states a representative of Poudrerie de Luxembourg.

For its part, electris Luxembourg also welcomed the trust placed in its teams: "We are very pleased to have delivered this project, which perfectly illustrates our ability to provide comprehensive end-to-end solutions tailored to our customers' needs."

The inauguration in the presence of Minister Lex Delles

During his speech, Minister of the Economy, SMEs, Energy and Tourism Lex Delles praised Poudrerie de Luxembourg's vision and ambitious commitment to e-mobility. The Minister also highlighted the project's sustainable approach, notably its reliance on the site's photovoltaic production, enabling advantageous charging conditions for users.

Referring to the Luxembourg Government's efforts to accelerate the decarbonisation of mobility, Lex Delles confirmed that support for companies wishing to electrify their fleets would remain a key driver of the energy transition. He also pointed to the encouraging first results achieved through support schemes dedicated to electric commercial vehicles and heavy-duty trucks.

Finally, the Minister expressed his admiration for the scale of the project delivered by the electris teams. He praised their expertise, technical know-how and essential contribution to the development of the infrastructure needed for Luxembourg to achieve its sustainable mobility ambitions.

A project designed for the future

Thanks to its scale and future-proof design, this project represents an important milestone in the development of EV charging infrastructure in Luxembourg.
