In order to support the switch to electric mobility and to ensure the autonomy of electric vehicles in Luxembourg, the government offers a subsidy programme for the installation of private charging stations.
Who and what is subsidised?
Private households – owner or user of an eligible parking space (private house or flat)

Parking space located on Luxembourg territory
Maximum charging power limited to 11 kW and installed by a professional electrician
Only one parking space per user within the same building

The relevance of owning an electric vehicle depends on several factors, such as charging options at home and at work, travel planning possibilities, frequency and distance of daily trips. A smartphone app allows anyone to check whether their mobility profile is compatible with electric mobility. For many users, electric vehicles already offer significant advantages.
In the enodrive app, a map of compatible public charging stations is available. You can search by address or use geolocation to find the nearest stations.
You can also filter by connector type and power level. You'll be able to view only the terminals you're interested in.

To ensure that the charging infrastructure is not set up exclusively through private-sector investment, the government has decided that Luxembourg's network operators will set up a national public charging infrastructure, which will deploy a network of over 700 charging stations throughout the country, coordinate all charging operations via an IT platform, and ensure the technical maintenance of the charging stations.
